Completed: UConn Health Inpatient Tower

Millwork One Inc. adds another exceptional hospital to its resume of completed projects. UConn‘s new John Dempsey Patient Care Tower project, with Turner Construction Company and Stefian Bradley Architects, boasts a $6.3M architectural millwork package; with a total construction cost of $318M. The new 380,000 SQFT tower includes eleven levels with 169 patient rooms, each with cabinetry and custom FRL headwalls throughout. The state of the art emergency department and surgery suite include a solid surface wall cladding system. The 30 + custom nurses’ stations, support staff desks, greeter stations and nursing pods are clad in solid surface, with stainless steel bases. The custom millwork paneling overhead of these units are sound absorptive, to curb ambient noise. The project included extensive cherry laminate wall paneling systems throughout the space, bringing a high-end feel to the project.
